When we first sat down to watch the pilot of Gotham, we were hooked.  Led be a stellar cast and superior writing, Gotham was one of if not the biggest hit of the 2014-15 television season. With such complex and diverse characters and the city of Gotham as the backdrop, it amazes how easy the cast and crew bring each story to life.  While everyone knows Batman, no one knows the real backstory of Jim Gordon or the future master criminals of Gotham City.

Special kudos to Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth) and David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne) for exceptional performances and look at their untold stories.  One of our favorite villains has to be Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.  Everyone has his/her own special episode(s) in the first season and it hits on every level.  With a great mix of drama, action and even a bit of comedy, Gotham is a MUST own.

Loaded with a ton of great bonuses.  Our favorites had to be the DC Comics Night at Comic-Con 2014 Presenting Gotham, The Flash, Constantine and Arrow.  What will your be?

Be sure to be ready before Gotham returns with all new episodes on Monday, September 21st.  Own it on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital HD September 8, 2015

Synopsis:

Before there was Batman, there was Gotham City. Everyone knows the name of Commissioner Gordon, but what of his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the layers of corruption in Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? Gotham tells the story of the world’s most iconic DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes from the very beginning, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome), this crime drama follows GCPD Detective James Gordon’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city, while also chronicling the genesis of one of the most popular DC Comics Super Heroes of our time. Although the crime drama follows Gordon’s turbulent and singular career, it also focuses on his unlikely friendship with the young Bruce Wayne – with his mentorship a crucial element in developing the mythology of Gotham City.
