Arrow Season 2 Bluray review

Warner Bros. Home Video will release Arrow Season 2 on Tuesday, September 16th.  This release will be available on Bluray, DVD and Digital HD.

Starling City has been torn apart by the Undertaking, so the need for the hooded vigilante– now known as The Arrow – is more urgent than ever in the explosive second season of the hit action series based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow. After retreating to the island on which he was once stranded, Oliver Queen returns to protect his mother, sister and besieged company – , but comes to realize that allies and enemies have switched sides, and the stranglehold of evil on family, friends and city is diabolically linked to his fateful shipwreck. A once-tight comrade-at-arms and a strength-enhancing, yet mind-warping serum may prove to be the mightiest adversaries The Arrow has ever encountered. Can justice find its target in this breathlessly exciting, 23-episode Season Two? Or will all fall before the fury of Deathstroke?

We have said this before and we will say it again, Warner Bros. and DC have mastered bringing their super hero lineup to the small screen. During the first season of Arrow, viewers were introduced to Oliver Queen and his mission to save his city. Season two starts off rocky after the events at the end of season one. With Oliver questioning his personal mission to save his city from those that have failed it.

In season two we find out more about the island and his relationship with Slade Wilson/Deathsroke (Manu Bennett). We also got to enjoy an episode primarily focusing on Diggle (David Ramsey)and the Sucide Squad. The Suicide Squad was one of our personal favorites out of all 69 episodes.

Season two is PACKED with DC favorites, including: Arrow (obviously), Deathstroke, Black Canary, Brother Blood, Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Barry Allen, Dollmaker, Shrapnel, Nyssa al Ghul (Guess who is coming in Season 3) and many more.

Also in season two we are introduced to Barry Allen who will become The Flash. As you probably know The Flash is the first spin-off from Arrow, this will open the doors up to crossover storylines. With rumors of another DC spinoff in the works it is a great time to be a DC fan and Warner Bros. has once again hit it out of the park with this release.
