Local art collective ARTLOVEMAGIC and DeepEllumOnAir.com’s JEDIGODDESS PRESENTS radio show are pleased to announce a major art show. IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY opens August 20th at South Side on Lamar’s Janette Kennedy Gallery (1409 South Lamar Dallas, TX).
This art exhibit features over two dozen local painters showcasing work based on their favorite sci-fi. gaming, comicbook, and cosplay properties. Join us to celebrate the things we all love.
In addition to the artwork, this ten day exhibit will feature a series of live events that include movie and gaming nights, wine and paint parties, and live art receptions. These events are fundraisers for local arts activities and broadcasts.

FOR THE WIN gaming night with retro video games, table top and card gaming DJ Priest spinning all night

Sunday August 24th 7:30-10:30pm WINE AND PAINT NIGHT An adult paint class (all levels welcome). All supplies provided.
$25 wine available for purchase
Wednesday August 27th 7:30-10:30pm
ARTLOVEMAGIC PAINT PARTY
A painting class with tutorials for all ages. All supplies provided.
$25 for adults. $15 for attendees 18 and under

We end our event with a large live art and music reception
Meet nearly every artist in the show, shop their art booths, and watch live sets from musicians 1UP, OLDSCHOOL POINDEXTER, and LOYAL SALLY. This will be a large, celebratory event. All ages welcome.

VIP EXPERIENCE 9-11pm
SPECIAL JEDIGODDESS FUNDRAISER MOVIE EVENT
the entire JEDIGODDESS CREW presents a classic sci fi movie in South Side’s private theater. Give away swag, adult beverages, and some fun surprises included.
