SmackDown in Boston moved multiple stories forward in a tight two-hour sprint: Sami Zayn made his roster jump official and immediately set sights on Solo Sikoa’s U.S. Title, Drew McIntyre doubled down on his savage attack of Cody Rhodes, the women’s division heated up on two fronts, and the tag scene stayed chaotic—in a good way. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were on the call from TD Garden.

Solo Sikoa’s power trip gets interrupted… by a new SmackDown star
Solo opened by boasting that the MFTs run SmackDown and listing the babyfaces they’d “stomped out.” Sami Zayn cut him off, thanked Solo (with a grin) for “freeing” him from the world title chase, and revealed a new goal—the one major WWE championship he’s never held: the United States Title. When Solo told him to go back to Raw, Sami dropped the bomb: he’s officially on SmackDown. The MFTs swarmed, which brought out Jimmy Uso and then Jacob Fatu; GM Nick Aldis made a six-man tag for the main event.

1️⃣ Alexa Bliss (w/ Charlotte Flair) def. Piper Niven (w/ Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre)
Short, spirited opener. Bliss survived Niven’s power (including a cannonball and Bossman slam), ducked a corner splash, and rolled Niven up for the three after outside chaos with Green and Fyre—and Flair keeping Lilly safe. Post-match, the heels laid out both Bliss and Flair: Fyre superkick, Niven senton and splash, Green hurling Flair into the post and timekeeper’s area.
Backstage women’s escalation: Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill jawed until Nia Jax stepped in to stake her own claim. Later, Kiana James pitched Stratton on “protection,” invoking Giulia, while Michin signaled she has Giulia next. Seeds planted all over the place.
2️⃣The Miz & Carmelo Hayes def. “Fraxiom” (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)
A Boston showcase for hometown favorite Hayes—until Miz stole the moment. After a slick sequence (Frazer’s springboard Spanish Fly, Axiom’s top-rope connection), Hayes hit a top-rope cutter, went up for Nothing But Net…and Miz tagged himself in to hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on Frazer for the win. The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis) were ominously spotted in the crowd during the bout. Post-match, Hayes looked heated at Miz’s pin theft—this team is hanging by a thread.

Drew McIntyre explains (and twists) the knife
In-ring, Drew rolled the footage of last week’s Claymore through the desk and argued he didn’t “attack” Cody Rhodes—Cody attacked him and he merely defended himself. He called himself “the real nightmare” when provoked and mocked the lack of a medical update for Rhodes. Cold, controlled, and very Drew.
3️⃣ The Street Profits (w/ B-Fab) def. #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) (w/ Candice LeRae)
A lively, interference-sprinkled tag. Ciampa and Gargano worked Dawkins over until Ford’s hot tag flipped momentum. Ringside mayhem told the story: LeRae hurled B-Fab into the steps; later B-Fab booted LeRae to even the odds. The Profits capitalized and hit their finish to close it out. Big win that keeps them in the tag-title conversation.
4️⃣Main Event: Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu def. Solo Sikoa, Tonga Loa & JC Mateo (The MFTs)
Classic TV trios pace: early heat on Sami, a thunderous Fatu run, dives everywhere, and a finishing stretch centered on Zayn vs. Solo. Sami blocked the Samoan Spike, hit the exploder into the corner, and landed the Helluva Kick on Sikoa for the statement win. Post-match, Jimmy urged camaraderie; Zayn and Fatu shared a quick embrace as Boston roared. If Zayn wanted a first night on SmackDown headline, he got it.
🤔
SmackDown delivered a satisfying blend of payoff and setup. Zayn’s move instantly freshens the U.S. Title scene and puts Solo on the defensive. McIntyre’s rationalized menace keeps the Cody feud hot even with the injury angle. The women’s division has three plates spinning (Stratton–Jade–Nia, Kiana/giulia intrigue, Bliss/Flair vs. Secret Hervice), and the tag ecosystem (Profits/DIY, Miz–Hayes’ slow split, Wyatt Sicks lurking) feels busy without being bloated. Boston got a show that mattered—and one that clearly points to the next few Fridays.
