Releasing Tuesday, April 2nd, The Mule will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD and is available now on Digital.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Bluray Combo I reviewed in this Post. The opinions I share are our own.
Here is the official synopsis:
Earl Stone (Clint Eastwood) is a man in his 80s who is broke, alone and facing foreclosure of his business when he is offered a job that simply requires him to drive. Easy enough, but, unbeknownst to Earl, he’s just signed on as a drug courier for the cartel. He does well—so well, in fact, that his cargo increases exponentially, and Earl is assigned a handler. But he isn’t the only one keeping tabs on Earl; the mysterious new drug mule has also hit the radar of hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates (Bradley Cooper). And even as his money problems become a thing of the past, Earl’s past mistakes start to weigh heavily on him, and it’s uncertain if he’ll have time to right those wrongs before law enforcement, or the cartel’s enforcers, catch up to him.
When you think about true cinematic legends, Clint Eastwood is one of those cornerstones. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost ten years since Clint Eastwood both directed and starred in a film. The Mule is based on a true story with an all-star case that also includes Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Peña, Oscar winner Dianne Wiest and Oscar nominee Andy Garcia.
This is a story that will captivate the viewer brought to life by a great cast of actors. It shows what lengths people will go to not only survive but to also help. Watching Eastwood’s character struggle with texting or to following rules it resonates with people who know people like Eastwood’s Earl Stone. From novice transporter to hard core drug mule, you see evolution of Stone. There is no slow point to this film and is presented well. Whether you saw this upon its theatrical release or this is your first time, this film deserves to be in your library.
